From free SIM and U-SIM card issuance to discounted rates and shopping rewards, we're implementing telecommunications minimalism.
SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) provides a practical digital communication experience through its self-sufficient communication service.
SKT will launch its self-sufficient digital communication service 'Air' on the 13th and provide generous point benefits to customers who sign up and open an app.
Just by signing up for the app, you will immediately receive 10,000 points, and there will also be a bonus pack event that provides up to 32,000 points per month for 6 months when opening a new line.
The Air app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and everything from sign-up to activation can be handled through the app itself. SKT offers six plans, ranging from 7GB to over 100GB, and offers monthly reward points ranging from 19,000 to 32,000 for six months, depending on the plan. Accumulated points can be used to pay up to 5,000 won per month, and can be used to purchase over 1,000 popular products from department stores, convenience stores, Olive Young, and more at the Point Shop.
Subscribers will receive expedited activation options, including instant eSIM activation and same-day USIM delivery. To celebrate the launch, eSIM/USIM issuance and shipping fees will be waived once. Furthermore, subscribers to the 7GB plan will enjoy unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Mbps for 12 months, even after using up their basic data allowance, without additional charges.
The Air app also features a pedometer function. Subscribers earn 1,000 points for walking just 1,000 steps in a month, and can earn up to 10,000 points with consecutive participation. Even if you sign up for the app without a phone subscription, you'll immediately receive 10,000 points. A total of 200 teams (400 people) will receive 100,000 won in Naver Pay points through a friend referral event. This event runs until October 31st.
SKT implements telecommunications minimalism through Air, designing it to provide customers with convenient access to only the essential features. Lee Seung-ha, Head of SKT's Air Service Division, stated, "Air is a communications platform that offers digital convenience and practical benefits. We will continue to expand this differentiated customer experience."
