Announcement of 'Seamless Test Solution' for E/E Development Innovation

Vector Korea, a global leader in vehicle network and embedded system development, is strengthening advanced test automation and cost efficiency at all stages of vehicle electrical system development, and spurring innovation in E/E development within the global automotive industry.

Vector officially announced on the 16th a new test strategy, 'Seamless Test Solutions', aimed at optimizing and improving the efficiency of vehicle electrical/electronic (E/E) system development.

This innovative solution focuses on systematically validating all processes through continuous, modular test hardware, from Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) in the early stages of E/E development to Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) – actual hardware-based testing.

Vector Korea's seamless test solution is designed to enable developers to reuse test assets as much as possible, from the CANoe-based simulation environment to the actual hardware integration test stage.

It has proven effective in shortening development time and reducing costs by providing a test automation tool and simulation model integration function that can simulate system errors and automatically check diagnostic memory responses during vehicle diagnostic tests.

This continuous test design process is establishing itself as a core competency in the modern automotive software development environment where E/E architectures are increasing in complexity.

Over the past several decades, the automotive industry has experienced a rapid shift from simple CAN network-based hardware-centric development to software-centric Zone Architecture.

These changes highlight the importance of security, agile testing in cloud environments, and continuous integration/continuous test (CI/CT) pipelines.

Vector Korea is introducing modular test hardware that covers everything from board-level testing to HIL environments, realizing optimal reuse of test resources, minimizing repetitive development, and contributing to reducing project costs.

It also provides an integrated test environment that combines the latest DevOps methods, cloudification, and security technologies, supporting server-based test execution, automatic generation of YAML-based test configuration files, and seamless integration with major CI systems such as Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab.

This enables developers to perform precise testing in a virtual environment by leveraging advanced features such as Virtual ECU creation, as well as flexible integration with third-party tools and open source solutions.

Especially in the field of sensor and actuator system development, board-level hardware testing can be performed more easily and quickly through MATLAB/Simulink-based simulation model integration, allowing for quick identification and improvement of the cause of problems through I/O unit testing.
