L&F, a secondary battery materials company, has published its '2025 Sustainability Report,' which focuses on strengthening its ESG disclosure system and establishing a greenhouse gas management system across the entire supply chain. A mid-to-long-term carbon neutrality roadmap based on the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi) was established for the first time, and the calculation and verification of Scope 3 indirect supply chain emissions were also included in this report for the first time.

L&F announced on the 1st that it published its '2025 Sustainability Report' on the 30th.

This fifth report is structured according to the four core areas—governance, strategy, risk management, and indicators and goals—presented by the Korea Sustainability Standards Board (KSSB), and covers the status and performance of major ESG initiatives, including climate change response, supply chain management, and strengthened governance.

L&F has set phased greenhouse gas reduction targets, including reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 35% compared to 2023, achieving RE100 by 2035, and realizing Scope 1 and 2 Net-Zero by 2050.

Through the analysis of climate change scenarios, response strategies for physical and transition risks as well as financial impacts were also presented.

In conjunction with this, on the 2nd, a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Expansion of Renewable Energy Supply in Industrial Complexes in Daegu' was signed with relevant agencies and local companies, including the Daegu Regional Environmental Office and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, to cooperate on the transition to renewable energy, such as expanding the supply of solar power within workplaces.

L&F calculated and verified Scope 3, an indirect emission across the entire value chain, for the first time.

We have completed the calculation and verification of 10 out of 15 categories of Scope 3 classified under international standards, thereby proactively responding to the mandatory requirements.

In the field of environmental management, the Daegu Guji Plant 3 has obtained Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) certification, completing the acquisition of ZWTL certification for all domestic business sites.

societyIn the governance sector, a mid-to-long-term safety and health roadmap was established, and the governance system was strengthened by creating a Personnel and Compensation Committee and a Risk Management Committee under the Board of Directors.

Regarding supply chain management, the third Responsible Minerals Report has been published, and supply chain management activities for a total of eight minerals, including tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold (3TG), are being continued.
