RP4060 Rail Probe, Optimal for Pure DC Noise Ripple Measurements
Double Pulse Testing System Perfect for High-Speed Switching Performance Evaluation

“Teledyne Lecroy, a global test instrumentation company, offers three core solutions for DC noise ripple measurement, motor driver analysis, and double pulse testing that enable clear measurement of low signals even in high-voltage environments, accurately identifying only pure DC components and original noise without distortion.”

Teledyne Lecroy participated in the 2025 Power Electronics Conference held at the Pyeongchang Alpensia Convention Center from July 7 to 10 and introduced three high-precision power solutions for DC noise ripple measurement, motor driver analysis, and double pulse testing.

The product description was given by Teledyne LeCroy Director Chang-Hoon Oh.

The first product on display is the RP4060 rail probe, which is specialized for DC noise ripple measurements.

Conventional passive probes can generate noise due to the inductance (L) of the ground lead, but the RP4060 is designed to accurately detect only the pure DC component and original noise without such distortion.

This can greatly improve the accuracy and stability of power rail analysis.

The second is a motor driver analysis solution utilizing an 8-channel oscilloscope.
/> The output three-phase voltage of the inverter is captured line-to-line, and the three phase currents are analyzed to measure real power, application power, power factor, and angle, etc.

When connecting a sensor, the total efficiency of the motor can be analyzed, and a demonstration of three-phase power calculation and efficiency measurement was presented, proving the technology's ability to be immediately applied in real-world environments.

The final key solution is the Double Pulse Test setup.

Dedicated pulses are generated using Infineon's gate drive evaluation board module and T3 AWG, and the voltage between the high-side gate and source is precisely measured using an optically isolated probe.

This probe has a higher dynamic range and common mode rejection capability (CMRR) than general differential probes, enabling clear measurement of low signals even in high-voltage environments.

A perfect test environment was created by using the HVD3220 high-voltage probe on the drain and source sides and Logoskick foil for current measurement.

Teledyne LeCroy Director Chang-Hoon Oh said, “At this conference, we demonstrated various test scenarios in real time, including noise removal technology, power efficiency analysis, and high-speed switching performance evaluation, and received an enthusiastic response from the attendees.”
