Equipped with large memory capacity of 2MB NVM and 512KB RAM
Optimized support for developer-friendly SDK and PMIC integration

Nordic Semiconductor, a global leader in low-power wireless connectivity technology, has broken new ground in connected product development with the launch of a high-capacity memory-based wireless SoC for advanced Bluetooth LE and Matter applications.
Nordic has added a new model to its nRF54L series of next-generation wireless SoCs, the nRF54LM20A, further enhancing the flexibility and performance of connected device development.
The recently released nRF54LM20A is a large-capacity memory-based SoC equipped with 2 MB of non-volatile memory (NVM) and 512 KB of RAM, providing sufficient resources for complex applications.
It is based on a 128MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor and a RISC-V coprocessor, and its peripheral set has also been significantly enhanced, including support for high-speed USB and up to 66 GPIOs.
The nRF54LM20A, which incorporates Nordic's fourth-generation ultra-low-power 2.4GHz wireless technology, supports a wide range of the latest wireless protocols including Bluetooth® LE, Channel Sounding, and Matter over Thread. Support.
It delivers twice the processing performance, three times the efficiency, and up to 50% lower power consumption compared to the existing nRF52 series, making it suitable for the development of advanced products in various fields such as smart homes, industry, and healthcare.
“The nRF54LM20A opens up new possibilities for developers who need high performance and large memory capacity,” says Oyvind Strom, Senior Vice President of Wireless Technology at Nordic Semiconductor. “By expanding the nRF54L Series’ portfolio, we can support even more applications and reinforce our position as an industry leader.”
The nRF54LM20A is supported by Nordic's nRF Connect SDK, which provides a highly optimized software environment combined with an open-source framework based on Zephyr.
This allows developers to address a wide range of needs, from simple IoT implementations to complex security applications.
Additionally, seamless integration with Nordic's family of power management integrated circuits (PMICs) reduces system complexity and saves BOM and board space, contributing to energy efficiency and improved battery life.
The nRF54LM20A is currently available as an early access program, with development kits and samples available for purchase. Developers can get started with their projects by contacting Nordic's sales team. Full production is scheduled to begin in Q1 2026.
