SK Chairman Chey Tae-won emphasized the importance of SKT's next-generation AI service and expanded consensus on future business directions through discussions with SKT AI business members.

On the 11th, SK Chairman Choi Tae-won held a two-hour town hall meeting with 350 members of the Apollo TF AI business, including President Yoo Young-sang, at the Supex Hall of SK Telecom's headquarters in Euljiro, Seoul.

This meeting is the first time Chairman Choi has communicated with executives and employees about current management issues and future strategies since officially taking office as SKT Chairman.

During the Q&A session of this meeting, there was an open discussion on ways to enhance SKT's AI competitiveness.

Chairman Choi stated that he directly answered various questions and opinions from members and reflected them and gave immediate instructions for implementation.

Chairman Choi said he would create a future planning team as a brain organization that would establish and manage a mid- to long-term AI strategy roadmap by utilizing internal and external experts from various fields.

In addition, the existing Apollo TF will be expanded into a regular organization to significantly strengthen manpower and resources, and SKT as well as SK's IHe promised to consolidate CT capabilities.

Led by AI Agent, he expressed his ambition that AI will not only be the center of SKT's future business, but also become a new growth engine for SK.

Finally, Chairman Choi said, “Today is a meaningful event where SKT takes its first step toward full-scale transformation,” and encouraged the members by saying, “There is still a long way to go, but we must not stop.”
