Nokia unveiled its next-generation technology strategy and revealed a strong vision for the Korean market at the 'Amplify Korea' press conference held at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul on the 2nd.

At this event, Nokia presented a roadmap for the future digital society centered on AI infrastructure, cloud, and next-generation network connectivity technologies.

Nokia Korea CEO Taeho Ahn emphasized, “Building an AI ecosystem is the key to next-generation digital innovation,” and “Nokia’s AI-based autonomous network technology will open up new possibilities in the Korean market.”

Nokia is applying cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cognitive platforms, and autonomous operating networks to real network environments in preparation for the hyper-connected era.

“As the digital environment rapidly evolves, an organic collaborative ecosystem is needed for new business models and sustainability,” said Han Hyo-chan, CTO. “Nokia’s strategy will play a key role in South Korea’s 6G R&D implementation plan.”

AI-based intelligent IP networks defend against DDoS attacks through big data analysis and support high-speed, high-security data transmission.

The AI-applied Network Service Platform (NSP) introduced autonomous operation network realization and next-generation data center switching technology.

The possibility of autonomous operation was demonstrated by combining the optical network automation platform ‘WaveSuite’ and AI applications.

Radio Access Network (RAN) technology leveraging AI and the cloud increases infrastructure operation efficiency and creates new revenue models through commercial cloud RAN solutions.

AI-based 'MantaRay AutoPilot' improves cell utilization by up to 30% in communication environments, and AI-integrated 'AirScale' base stations actively respond to various wireless environments.

The new 'AirScale Portfolio' and the 'Banshee', a compact wireless solution that enables tactical responses in various situations, were also unveiled.

It also showcased 'Dual Boost' technology that improves 5G network throughput by up to 30%, and a '6G-ready' Massive MIMO radio that operates in frequency bands above 6GHz.

AnyRAN solutions for enterprises are based on 5G-specific networks to increase productivity and efficiency across mission-critical industries.
