Building an integrated on-premises and cloud ecosystem, ensuring stable data management.
The high-performance PAS 7700 storage system: an IT investment that considers cost, performance, and convenience.
"When businesses adopt IT solutions, the most important factors they consider are cost-effectiveness and security. Synology contributes to reducing customers' operating costs by providing a one-stop solution for IT investments, encompassing data protection, recovery, and surveillance."
Synology held a press conference at the Joseon Palace in Yeoksam-dong on the 23rd.
On this day, Synology Sales Manager Geun-nyeong Lee, who presented on the topic of ‘Synology Business Insights and Strategy Presentation’, said, “The data environment of enterprises in 2025 is more complex and changing faster than ever before. “An average of 4,034 bytes of data are created every day, and it is projected that this will reach 180 zettabytes in 2025 alone,” he said. “In particular, the fact that 90% of the world’s data was created in the past two years makes the speed and scale of the data truly apparent.”
Amid this data explosion, companies face challenges beyond simple storage, including efficient management and security.
Synology recently conducted a survey of over 200 IT professionals and managers to analyze the challenges and solutions facing businesses.
According to the survey, more than 80% of respondents still use on-premises environments, with 45% of them adopting a hybrid approach that includes cloud.
This is a strategic choice for enterprises looking to leverage the flexibility of the cloud while maintaining security and control.
Synology is responding to this trend by building an integrated ecosystem spanning on-premises and the cloud, enabling businesses to achieve stable data management in any way possible.
The proliferation of AI technology presents opportunities for innovation for businesses, but also poses new security threats.
More than 70% of domestic companies have experienced AI-based cyber risks, a figure that has doubled in just one year. One-third of survey respondents have experienced big data loss or security incidents, with more than half of those caused by ransomware and hacking.
Additionally, 56% of respondents said they were not confident in their ability to respond to cyber threats, demonstrating that data security is a necessity, not an option.
The most important factors that companies consider when adopting IT solutions are cost-effectiveness and security.
Only when performance and ease of management are added here can truly efficient data management be possible.
In fact, companies are investing the most in AI automation and data security, with backup and disaster recovery also cited as key areas of investment.
To meet these demands, Synology has introduced the high-performance storage PAS 7700 model.
This product is a dual-controller system based on NVMe SSDs, boasting a sequential read speed of 30 GB per second and a random read performance of 2 million IOPS.
Additionally, it simultaneously ensures security and availability through active-active architecture and hardware-based encryption technology.
Synology provides immutable protection and air gap technology through its backup-only appliance, T-Protect, and is designed to block data from cyber threats such as ransomware at the source.
Toyota implemented this solution to replace its existing tape system and reduce operating costs by 75%.
Synology is also expanding into the video surveillance field through its on-premises surveillance platform, Surveillance Station, and cloud-based, C2 Surveillance.
The platform can be installed and monitored in just two minutes, and offers a flexible pricing model to reduce up-front costs.
Synology is We plan to launch 'Chat Plus' and 'Meet', private cloud-based communication platforms.
It supports up to 10,000 concurrent users and 7,000 video conference participants, and can implement real-time messaging and video conferencing in a single interface.
Sales Manager Lee Geun-nyeong concluded the presentation by saying, “Synology is helping businesses achieve a safe and smart transition in the AI era through integrated solutions that encompass data management, security, surveillance, and communication.”
