Provides universal security architecture ADI Assure Trusted Edge combined

In order to accelerate the development of on-device AI, embedded solutions that bridge the gap between HW and SW are key. Accordingly, MCU manufacturers are continuously introducing solutions that fit the development trend of companies that are strengthening intelligence at the edge.

Analog Devices (ADI) today announced the launch of a developer-focused portfolio of products that integrate cross-device and cross-market hardware, software and services to support customer innovation for the intelligent edge.

At the heart of this release is CodeFusion Studio™, a new, comprehensive embedded software development environment based on Microsoft’s Visual Studio Code.

The new development environment is ADI’s first fully integrated suite of software and security solutions, and CodeFusion Studio leverages a modern integrated development environment (IDE) and command line interface. ADI explains that by integrating open source configuration and profiling tools, it simplifies development on heterogeneous processors and increases efficiency.

Built on open source solutions, CodeFusion Studio supports a wide range of hardware, including some of ADI’s microcontroller (MCU) products, with more digital solutions to be added in future releases. This includes an IDE, software development kit (SDK), configuration and productivity tools.

It also supports ADI Assure™ Trusted Edge Security Architecture, ADI’s universal hardware and software security foundation that enables fundamental security in intelligent edge devices.

ADI emphasized that CodeFusion Studio, ADI Assure, and ADI Developer Portal provide customers with the tools and resources they need to get their products to market faster with enhanced security and reliability. With faster deployment times, customers can quickly leverage the full value that the Intelligent Edge has to offer, which is expected to lead to better business decisions, increased customer satisfaction, enhanced insights, and overall business growth.

“The complexity of embedded development at the edge continues to intensify, demanding expertise across hardware, software and security,” said Gregory Bryant, president of global business units at ADI. “We plan to continue to help our customers confidently innovate at the intelligent edge.”
