Netspresso Applied to Domestic NPUs… Expanding Cooperation for Edge AI Commercialization
Nota partners with AI semiconductor company Mobilint to collaborate on the commercialization of on-device AI based on domestic NPUs.
Nota recently announced that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Mobilint for the supply of AI optimization technology. This agreement comes amidst growing demand for software optimization to ensure the stable operation of AI models in real-world hardware environments.
Under the agreement, Mobilint will integrate Nota's AI model optimization platform, 'Netspresso,' into its NPU product families, the MLA100 and MLA400. Through this, Mobilint will be able to provide NPU customers with not only hardware but also AI model optimization and deployment environments.
The utility of AI semiconductors is not determined solely by chip performance. Various AI models must be executed efficiently on the corresponding hardware to be applied in actual industrial settings. In this process, Netspresso plays a role in enhancing execution efficiency in NPU environments by lightweighting, compressing, and optimizing models.
Through this collaboration, Nota also expands the application scope of its vision AI solution, 'NVA'. The two companies plan to verify the operability and performance of NVA on Mobilint's MLA100 and MLA400-based cards and servers.
NVA is a vision AI solution that analyzes the field based on video data. Edge AI fields requiring real-time video analysis, such as industrial safety, intelligent transportation systems, smart cities, and security monitoring, are cited as major application areas.
Nota has previously expanded the application of its AI optimization technology to mobile and data center environments through collaborations with Arm, Samsung Electronics, Furiosa AI, and others. With this agreement with Mobilint, Nota plans to expand the commercialization scope of Netspresso to the edge AI domain.
