Combining AI Semiconductors and Vision AI to Jointly Develop Smart City and Robotics Solutions
SPHERE AX has joined hands with Blaize, a US NASDAQ-listed AI semiconductor company, for cooperation in the field of physical AI.

Sphere AX (CEO Park Yoon-ha), a company specializing in vision AI and edge AI computing, announced on the 24th that it has signed an MOU with Blaze to pursue the joint development and commercialization of AI semiconductor-based products. The agreement was reached ahead of the 'Physical AI Frontier Powerhouse New Technology Strategy Forum' held at the National Assembly.

Blaze is a company headquartered in Eldorado Hills, California, USA, that supports AI inference workloads across the edge, cloud, and data center through a hybrid AI architecture that combines its proprietary Graph Streaming Processor (GSP) and GPU.

The two companies establish a cooperation framework for joint research and development in the field of edge AI computing, exploring the commercialization of AI semiconductor-based solutions, developing business by industry, and identifying joint business opportunities for domestic and international customers.

We plan to develop next-generation physical AI solutions by combining Blaze's semiconductor technology for physical AI with SphereAX's vision AI software.

The jointly developed solution is expected to be applied to smart cities, smart factories, industrial safety, security, robotics, mobility, etc.

Starting with this partnership, the two companies will pursue the development of AI semiconductor-based products and the establishment of a production system in Korea.

The plan is to expand the global supply chain in conjunction with the government's policy to foster the AI semiconductor industry and domestic advanced manufacturing.

Park Yun-ha, CEO of Sphere AX, stated, “This collaboration goes beyond a simple technology partnership and marks the first step in developing and producing actual commercial AI products in Korea based on AI semiconductor technology,” adding, “We will expand our global business to help Korea grow into a key production hub in the global edge AI market.”

Dinakar Munagala, CEO of Blaze, stated, “Through our partnership with SphereAX, we will create new growth opportunities and expand our platform reach beyond Asia into the global market.”
