Specifically designed for precise positioning in motor drives and industrial robotics and industrial motion control, the RAIK060 is a patented off-axis rotational absolute inductive kit encoder offering high repeatability, accuracy and high resolution in single or multi-turn options.

Vishay's RAIK060 encoder, available at Mouser, enables faster motor drive computation processes with speeds up to 10,000 rpm and latency times of less than 5 μs.

These position sensors support repeatability better than 17 bits, provide 12 bits of overall accuracy and 18 bits of encoder resolution.

Additionally, the RAIK060 remembers the last position before power failure and has built-in self-monitoring functions to further enhance reliability.

The RAIK060 provides SPI, SSI and BiSS-C output interfaces, with single-turn and multi-turn options available.

In addition, there is a built-in automaticSelf-calibration function, 360° electromechanical effective angle, and LED color status indicator for flexible and easy assembly are also supported.

The RAIK060 encoder is designed to operate in harsh environments and is resistant to moisture, contamination, temperature, vibration or shock.

Additionally, these encoders are unaffected by external magnetic fields (no Hall effect cells), electric fields and temperature, making them ideal for designs requiring close placement to electric motors.

The RAIK060 encoder comes in a compact, lightweight, space-saving chassis mount form factor measuring 60 mm in diameter, 5 mm thick and weighing less than 15 g.
