As competition to secure cloud security certifications targeting the AI infrastructure market in the public and financial sectors accelerates, SK Telecom has become the first in Korea to obtain CSAP certification for its NVIDIA Blackwell GPU-based AI data center cluster. This certification carries added weight in that it is a verification conducted on infrastructure currently in actual operation.

SKT announced on the 6th that its AI data center infrastructure 'Haein' cluster has obtained certification in the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) sector of the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) organized by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).

Haein Cluster is an AI-dedicated infrastructure composed of more than 1,000 Blackwell GPUs in a single cluster.

CSAP is a system in which the government directly verifies the security of cloud services adopted by public institutions.

The Haein Cluster met public cloud requirements, such as network separation and data isolation, and passed the evaluation while being actively utilized in a government-led independent AI Foundation model project, rather than remaining idle.

SKT is reportedly the first in Korea to receive this certification as a Blackwell GPU-based AI cloud provider.

SKT plans to expand its presence in the Sovereign AI cloud market through this certification.

Sovereign AI refers to an AI system independently built and operated based on domestic data and infrastructure.

The Haein Cluster is also being utilized as a training infrastructure for the government-led independent AI Foundation model.

Kim Myung-guk, Head of SKT AI Factory Business, stated, “The Haein Cluster has established itself as a sovereign AI infrastructure by becoming the first Blackwell GPU-based AI cloud provider to receive CSAP certification,” adding, “We will continue to increase our contributions in the public infrastructure sector.”
