Yoo Chang-hoon, CEO of Sensestone, a company specializing in authentication security, received a government information security award in recognition of his contributions in developing next-generation user authentication technology based on proprietary core technology and expanding it to various industrial sectors.

Sensestone announced on the 9th that CEO Yoo Chang-hoon received the '2026 Award for Meritorious Service in Information Security' from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT in recognition of his achievements in the development and industrial expansion of next-generation user authentication technology based on 'OTAC (One-Time Authentication Code)'.

The Information Security Merit Award is a government award presented to individuals and organizations that have contributed to the development of information security technology, industrial advancement, and the improvement of the national information security level.

Sensestone's OTAC technology has expanded its scope of application, starting with the financial sector and extending to the public sector, national defense, national infrastructure, and industrial operating environments (OT).

Its utility was highlighted particularly in OT environments, as it allows for enhanced user authentication and access control without replacing existing equipment or changing environment settings.

The technology has been applied to various industrial sites, including the Korea Water Resources Corporation's monitoring and control facilities.

Sensestone has continued to invest in research and development centered on its corporate research institute and has filed over 250 patents domestically and internationally.
Along with domestic references such as the Republic of Korea Army Headquarters MiliPass, Toss Bank, and Kakao Bank, the technology has also been applied to overseas markets, including the Indonesian Mint Corporation's e-Stamp and Digital ID projects and the supply of authentication technology to the Indonesian National Tax Agency.
