In the era of the subscription economy, DX specialist LG CNS has also entered the market by introducing a ‘logistics robot subscription service.’
LG CNS unveiled its 'Logistics Robot Subscription Service (RaaS, Robot as a Service)' on the 21st, which allows users to subscribe to and use only the amount of logistics robots they need, when they are needed.
LG CNS emphasizes that customers who use the 'Logistics Robot Subscription Service' can solve the problem of high initial costs required when building a logistics robot because they only have to pay the annual subscription fee in installments over the contract period.
LG CNS's logistics automation robots include: △'Autostore', a cube-shaped logistics automation robot capable of storing, loading, and moving products; △'AI picking robot' that uses AI to identify the characteristics of products and picks them up; △'Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)' that repeatedly transports products on a fixed path; and △'Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR)' that detects the surroundings with sensors to find its own path and transport and load products. There are ‘Robot’ etc.
Customers can subscribe to customized services considering the size and purpose of the logistics center.
LG CNS also provides a cloud-based logistics center control system as a subscription model. Customers can access the cloud from a designated IP and monitor and analyze logistics data such as product movement routes, number of movements, and product processing volume.
Meanwhile, LG CNS has domestically produced an AI sorting robot and has experience in domestically producing and exporting the 'Crossbelt Sorter', a sorting facility for logistics centers, using the same method.
“We discovered customers’ pain points in the initial investment cost for logistics center intelligence, which led us to launch the subscription service,” said Lee Jun-ho, managing director of LG CNS’s Smart Logistics Business Division. “We will enable more customers to implement logistics intelligence through LG CNS’s unique ‘logistics robot subscription service,’ which combines various DX technologies such as cloud, AI, and data with robots.”
