Cooperation to develop future mobility technologies and expand joint research between Korea and the Netherlands
Expected to strengthen competitiveness of mobility industry through joint research and development of core hydrogen vehicle technologies The Korea Automobile Research Institute (KARI) is taking the lead in the development of future mobility technology by joining hands with the Netherlands National Aerospace Research Institute (NLR) (CEO Michael Peter, hereinafter NLR).
Director Seungsik Na of Hanjayeon and CEO Michel Peters of NLR announced on Thursday, the 16th that they signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation in future mobility technology' at the NLR Amsterdam office located in North Holland, Netherlands on the 14th (local time).
The Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) was established in 1919 by the Dutch government and is a research institute that conducts in-depth research across the entire aviation and space field, including aircraft bodies, systems, and transportation.
Through this MOU, Hanjayeon and NLR are expected to continue close cooperation in developing future mobility technologies and expanding joint research between Korea and the Netherlands.
Specifically, the plan is to carry out cooperation in △automobile technology, △advanced future mobility technology, and △research and development of hydrogen vehicles and mobility solutions.
In particular, Han Ja-yeon is a sheep By adding the synergy of the institution's hydrogen-based technology and know-how, we expect to develop next-generation hydrogen vehicle technology.
Na Seung-sik, president of Hanjayeon, said, “It is meaningful to collaborate with NLR, a leading European aerospace research institute,” and added, “Through cooperation on future mobility technology, we will not only strengthen industrial competitiveness by developing hydrogen cars, which are attracting attention as clean energy, and various innovative technologies, but also serve as a bridge to enable various types of cooperation between Korea and the Netherlands.”
