Seok-Ki Kim, Senior Director of Image Display Business, Samsung Electronics, stated “Mirror Display is an innovative product capable of providing both mirror and smart signage functions at hair shops, clothing shops, etc.” Samsung Electronics plans to start full-scale launching of Mirror Display products from 3Q.
LTE Magic Mirror from LG Uplus enables easy client-tailored skin care at home with its IoT technology. The large optical mirror of 80 cm x 50 cm (WxH) with optimized reflectivity and transmittivity has a built-in 800MP camera and a LTE terminal as well as LED lightings at around edges. When a client touches the mirror, its built-in high-resolution camera takes pictures of the client’s skin and displays current status of skin measurement information such as skin pores, reddish skin tone, wrinkles, skin textures, blemish, etc.
LG Uplus and Hanssem went a step further and achieved enhanced reliability of the LTE Magic Mirror’s measurement results through inspection by dermatologists and clinical tests on around 200 subjects. According to the skin measurement result, the LTE Magic Mirror can recommend not only custom skin care knowhow suitable for current status of the client’s skin but also proper beauty products. Additionally, various beauty contents are also provided.
Young-Man Kim, team leader of H2 team in charge of Home IoT, LG Uplus, said “expensive skin measurement equipment which used to be available only at dermatology or professional skin care shop is now conveniently available at home through IoT technology implemented by the product.”
