Launch of 'Pra.L', a home beauty device with safety and efficacy
A debut in the domestic beauty device market, which is growing by more than 10% annually LG Electronics has thrown its hat into the ring in the 'Home Beauty' market.
On the 25th, LG Electronics held a launch event for its premium home beauty device, 'LG Pra.L', and released four skin care devices, including the 'Derma LED Mask' (LED mask), 'Total Lift Up Care' (elasticity management), 'Galvanic Ion Booster' (promotes absorption of cosmetics), and 'Dual Motion Cleanser' (cleansing).
'Prael', which means 'fundamental beauty', focused on ensuring safety during development as the skin care device is a product used directly on the human body. LG Electronics also proved the product's safety and efficacy through human application tests commissioned to an external expert organization.

For example, the 'Derma LED Mask' has a double safety device to prevent glare from LED light. It has an eye shield design and a proximity sensor so that it only works when the user is fully wearing the mask. The 'Derma LED Mask' is a product that helps improve skin tone and elasticity of the facial area by using the wavelength of LED light. This product has a total of 120 LEDs, including 60 red LEDs and 60 infrared LEDs, that simultaneously generate wavelengths. The long-wavelength red wavelength and the short-wavelength infrared wavelength evenly penetrate the skin at different depths to create transparent and elastic skin. To maximize the effect, LG Electronics focused the LEDs on areas of concern such as the forehead, around the mouth, and under the eyes.
For 'Total Lift Up Care' and 'Galvanic Ion Booster', medical materials were used for parts that come into direct contact with the skin, and the UV (ultraviolet) lamp function allows for even cleaner storage after use. 'Total Lift Up Care' is a complex elasticity management device that helps with skin lifting and elasticity improvement using high frequency, LED, and microcurrent. This product alternates between the 'tightening mode' using high frequency and red LED and the 'lifting mode' using microcurrent to further enhance the skin elasticity enhancement effect. The heat energy of the high frequency current and the red LED wavelength penetrate into the skin to help improve elasticity, and the microcurrent stimulates the skin tissue and muscles to help with facial lifting.
'Galvanic Ion Booster' is an absorption-promoting device that uses iontophoresis (an electrical property that repels like poles to increase skin penetration of ionic drugs), ultrasound, and heat in combination to allow the effective ingredients of cosmetics to penetrate deep into the skin. This product uses heat to loosen pores, etc., and ultrasound to create microscopic gaps in the stratum corneum, then uses iontophoresis technology to inject the effective ingredients of cosmetics deep into the skin.

The 'Dual Motion Cleanser' is a cleansing device equipped with two motors that can cleanse up to 10 times more thoroughly than by hand. This product gently removes makeup residue that is difficult to wash off by hand as well as dead skin cells, blackheads, and other impurities from the skin by vibrating up and down while the brush rotates left and right.
As a result of human application tests on over 100 ordinary people, it was shown that there was a real skin improvement effect in over 98% of the test items. In addition, it was revealed that none of the four products showed any abnormal skin reactions in the test subjects.
Domestic home beauty device market estimated to be worth 450 billion won this year It focuses on ease of use. It is equipped with a voice guide that tells you how to use it by voice, so you can use it without difficulty even if you are using the product for the first time. It can also be conveniently charged via USB, and its low-power design allows you to use it for a long time with a single charge. For example, the 'Derma LED Mask' can be used for about 7 days if used once a day.
The domestic home beauty device market, estimated to be worth 450 billion won this year, is growing rapidly by more than 10% every year due to the increasing needs of consumers who want to easily and conveniently manage their skin at home without the help of professionals.
“We will build customer trust with products that have been proven safe and effective in a market dominated by foreign brands,” said Seo Young-jae, managing director of LG Electronics’ HE division, who is in charge of the home beauty device business. “We will revitalize the home beauty device market, which is in the early stages of popularization, and use it as an opportunity for business growth.”
