SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) has been recognized for its innovation in AI spam detection and response technology and has been selected as the best technology to shine at CES 2025.

SKT announced on the 17th that it won the Best of Innovation Award at CES 2025, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA in January next year.

SKT won the 'Best Innovation Award' in the Cybersecurity category for 'ScamVanguard', an AI-based mobile financial fraud detection and prevention technology commercialized this year.

'Scam Vanguard' is a technology that provides AI-based cyber threat information to detect and respond to various threats that can occur on mobile devices.

Key features include deep learning-based bait text detection and notification, AI bot-based SNS fraud prevention, and machine learning-based fraud call pattern detection.

'Scam Vanguard' is being used for Adot Phone's spam and voice phishing suspected call notification, the personal authentication service app 'PASS', and the spam filtering service of 'Chat+ PC version'.

In addition, SKT signed an MOU with Industrial Bank of Korea and also participated in ‘SurPASS’, a solution to strengthen financial customer protection.We plan to utilize ‘Camvanguard’ technology.

SKT stated that as mobile financial fraud becomes more sophisticated and intelligent, the need to detect spam information and protect customer assets through 'Scam Vanguard' is growing.

In fact, 'Scam Vanguard' blocked an average of 1.3 million suspected financial fraud messages and calls per month this year.

SKT analyzed that the effect of preventing personal information and financial damage had a positive impact on this award.
