The Verisium AI-Driven Verification Platform, an AI-based verification platform, is a tool that verifies errors before design work is completed, and is characterized by improving verification and debug productivity by up to 10 times. Cadence is expanding the application of AI technology from design to verification, drastically reducing the semiconductor design process and accelerating the semiconductor chip development cycle.

Cadence CEO Anirudh Devgan, who visited Korea last October, boasted that “this year will be Cadence’s ‘best year ever’,” indicating that sales growth in 2022 is clear. As trends such as 5G communications, hyperscale computing, and autonomous vehicles powered by AI, machine learning, and data analytics accelerate digital transformation across industries, Cadence is expanding and adding to its EDA portfolio available to fabless customers, providing tailored services across a variety of application-specific chip design processes.

In particular, in the domestic market, several solutions, including the Integrity 3D-IC Platform, which Samsung Electronics has expanded its application and has attracted attention, are driving Cadence's growth. The Certus Closure Solution provides simultaneous chip-level optimization and signoff capabilities up to 10 times faster, and the Cadence Cerebrus Intelligent Chip Explorer is said to integrate AI technology to automate the design process, reduce power by up to 30%, and increase productivity by up to 30 times.
