ALD/CVD precursor product validation in progress
Expansion of new etching gas items such as COS
Wonik Materials (CEO Han Jeong-wook) actively introduced new semiconductor precursors and etching gas products, as well as new items such as ammonia hydrogen, at SEMICON Korea 2023, and expressed confidence in future launches and sales.
Wonik Materials participated in SEMICON Korea 2023 held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul from the 1st to the 3rd.
At this exhibition, Wonik Materials introduced its supply capabilities for special gases for semiconductors, precursors, ammonia hydrogen, etc., and held business meetings with customers.
In particular, at this exhibition, they showed their confidence in the precursor that they have been conducting R&D on for the past 5-6 years and are now about to start supplying full-scale products.
Wonik Materials acquired Novachem of the United States in 2016 and has been researching and developing ALD/CVD precursors and process solutions for depositing various thin films, including dielectrics, metals, and semiconductors.
We are commercializing High K precursors, Si ALD/CVD precursors, and Metal ALD/CVD precursors.
As a result of such efforts, product development has recently been completed and customer verification is in progress.
Precursor If product supply is realized, it is expected to have a significant impact on improving Wonik Materials' performance.
Special gases are manufactured and supplied for various semiconductor and display special gases such as N2O, NH3, F2 mix, C4F8, Xe, CO2, Si2H6, GeH4 Mix, CH2F2, etc.
In addition, COS (Carbonyl sulfide), an etching gas introduced last year, began operation at the factory in 2022 and is currently being supplied to customers. Supply is expected to expand further in 2023.
Here, a plan to produce clean hydrogen using ammonia is also set to begin in earnest. R&D has been underway for several years, and the plan is to verify it with mass production technology within this year.
In addition, the company announced that it will do its utmost to ensure a stable supply of rare gases for semiconductors, which enjoyed special benefits last year, this year as well.
