Hyundai Motor Group has joined hands with Nvidia to innovate mobility.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 10th that it signed a strategic partnership with Nvidia for mobility innovation at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel in Nevada, USA on the 9th.
Hyundai Motor Group is applying AI technology in various fields including manufacturing.
We are actively securing technological competitiveness in cutting-edge fields by utilizing generative AI, etc., and are enhancing global manufacturing capabilities by building a smart factory ecosystem called 'E-FOREST' that applies innovative automation methods such as AI and robotics technology.
Through this partnership, Hyundai Motor Group plans to make its core mobility solutions, such as SDV (Software-Centric Vehicle) and robotics, more intelligent and strengthen the application of AI technology across its business operations.
In particular, it plans to utilize NVIDIA's digital twin platform Omniverse to simulate the process of building and operating new factories in a virtual environment using digital twin technology and, based on this, to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.br />
Next, Hyundai Motor Group will use NVIDIA's accelerated computing hardware and generative AI (artificial intelligence) development tools to establish a system for AI models to safely learn vast amounts of data, and through this, develop AI applications necessary across the value chain.
Additionally, Hyundai Motor Group will develop AI-based robots using NVIDIA's robotics platform, Isaac, and collaborate with NVIDIA to build a virtual environment necessary for robot learning.
“Hyundai Motor Group is making innovative attempts by utilizing AI in various fields such as robotics, autonomous driving, and smart factories,” said Kim Heung-soo, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Motor Group’s Global Strategy Office (GSO). “Through collaboration with NVIDIA, we will solidify and accelerate these innovations and leap forward as a company leading future mobility.”
