Vice President Yoo Kwang-il said that as digital transformation is in full swing in modern society, technological innovation is taking root in daily life and across industries, and among these, AI (artificial intelligence) technology is emerging as a key tool to help with data-based decision-making and is playing an essential role in strengthening corporate competitiveness.

Vice President Yoo Kwang-il stated that in the past, AI remained a theoretical and experimental technology, but as computing power and GPU technology developed, AI began to demonstrate practical performance in business settings.

In addition, the accumulation of massive data through IoT (Internet of Things), cloud, and smartphones has laid the foundation for AI to create real value, and data is no longer a simple resource, but has become a key element that determines a company's strategic direction.

In order for AI to be fully applied to business, appropriate data modeling must first be conducted. Data modeling is the process of understanding data and structuring it to make it easy to analyze and utilize.

This process is like creating an architectural blueprint, where a reliable data-driven model enhances its learning and prediction capabilities through machine learning and deep learning algorithms.

Additionally, a data movement phase that integrates data generated from various applications within the organization is essential.

By concentrating data in centralized repositories such as data warehouses and data lakes, you can break away from traditional isolated data environments and perform effective analysis and management.

As the amount of data increases explosively, securing and maintaining the quality of sensitive data such as customer information is emerging as a major task for companies, said Vice President Yoo Kwang-il. He added that data governance plays a pivotal role in maintaining the consistency and reliability of data by establishing a system for who can access data, when, and in what manner.

He also emphasized that this is directly related to the reliability of AI models and business success.
