Mouser Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, is helping implement high-resolution applications with the latest digital display controllers from Texas Instruments (TI).

Mouser recently announced that it is now stocking TI's digital display controllers DLPC8445/DLPC8445V.

This controller supports large displays of 100 inches or more in digital applications such as mobile smart TVs, laser TVs, and mobile projectors, and can implement 4K ultra-high definition (UHD) images with ultra-low power consumption.

TI's DLPC8445/DLPC8445V is a core component of the DLP chipset for 4K UHD displays, consisting of a display controller, a DLP472TP digital micromirror device (DMD), and the DLPA3085 or DLPA3082 power management IC (PMIC).

The DLPC8445 supports 4K UHD at 60Hz, 1080p (2D) at 240Hz, and 3D at 120Hz, and offers a variety of configurations using the V-by-One® HS video input port.

Designed for ultra-small displays, this controller must be used with the DLP472TP DMD and PMIC to ensure stable operation.
