NVIDIA announced today that its new NVIDIA RTX 500 and RTX 1000 Ada Generation notebook GPUs will be available in new, highly portable mobile workstations.
It was reported that the lineup based on NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace architecture, including the Ada Generation notebook GPUs from RTX 2000 to 5000, will be expanded.
AI is rapidly being adopted to increase efficiency across professional design, content creation workflows, and everyday productivity applications. This further emphasizes the importance of systems with powerful local AI acceleration and sufficient processing power.
The next-generation mobile workstations, featuring Ada Generation GPUs, including the RTX 500 and RTX 1000 GPUs, will include a neural processing unit (NPU), a component of the CPU, and NVIDIA RTX GPUs with Tensor Cores for AI processing. The NPUs help handle simple AI tasks, while the GPUs provide up to 682 TOPS of additional AI performance for more demanding, everyday AI workflows.

AI acceleration provided by GPUs is useful for handling various AI-based tasks, such as video conferencing with high-quality AI effects, video streaming with AI upscaling, and rapid processing through generative AI and content creation applications.
The new RTX 500 GPUs deliver up to 14x the AI generation performance, up to 3x the AI photo editing speed, and up to 10x the 3D rendering graphics performance in models like Stable Diffusion compared to CPU-only configurations.
