Vice President of Bucheon Fab Operations, semiconductor veteran with over 30 years of experience

ONSemi, a leader in intelligent power and sensing technologies, has appointed Taejong Lee, former CEO of KeyFoundry, as the new CEO of ONSemi Korea, located in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do.
Newly appointed CEO Lee Tae-jong has over 30 years of expertise in technology development, design services, sales, marketing, and manufacturing operations for semiconductor fabs, global IDMs (Integrated Device Manufacturers), and foundry companies.

CEO Lee Tae-jong said, “Onsemi Korea has the best power semiconductor production line and equipment in Korea. “Based on Onsemi’s long-standing experience and know-how, we will drive growth so that Bucheon Fab, our main SiC facility, can continue to lead the global market,” he said.
Before joining Onsemi, new CEO Lee Tae-jong served as CEO and president of KeyFoundry (now SK KeyFoundry, a subsidiary of SK Hynix) and AllChips Corporation.
Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Foundry Business Unit at MagnaChip Semiconductor Korea, and worked at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing (now GlobalFoundries) in Singapore and Samsung Semiconductor (now ON Semi).
The new CEO, Lee Tae-jong, was appointed effective March 4, 2025.
