Virtualization expansion strategy in three areas: manufacturing, medical, and infrastructure
Dassault Systèmes held a press conference at the Oakwood Premier COEX Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 30th.
At the meeting that day, Pascal Daloz, CEO of Dassault Systèmes, who was appointed in January of this year, gave a presentation on the generative economy and shared Dassault Systèmes’ vision and insights.
CEO Pascal Daloz emphasized the virtual twin that combines the virtual and the real, and announced that the virtual twin technology will be applied and expanded in the markets of manufacturing industry, life sciences and healthcare, and infrastructure and cities.
Recently, the number of companies providing virtual twin solutions is increasing. Dassault Systèmes emphasized that the difference from them lies in the scientific foundation. CEO Pascal said, “With the strength of modeling and simulation based on physics, we can reconstruct models by fusing them with real data.”
Jeong Woon-sung, CEO of Dassault Systèmes Korea, announced the domestic business performance over the past two years and the 2025 strategy to mark the second anniversary of his inauguration. Dassault Systèmes announced its achievements in the fields of manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure/cities based on its domestic business experience of nearly 30 years.
“We can accelerate the entire process from design, business processes, and value chain through the 3D experience platform,” said CEO Jeong. “In the past two to three years, we have been expanding into new industries such as home & lifestyle and consumer goods.”
In addition, CEO Jeong emphasized the following as Dassault Systèmes' goals: △digital transformation of domestic industries in the life sciences, healthcare, infrastructure, and urban sectors, including manufacturing; △virtual twins incorporating artificial intelligence; and △human-centered experiences and fostering future talent.

As customer cases, we introduced collaboration cases such as Hyundai Rotem, Orbis E&C, MEDIT, and Dentium. In the medical field, development based on Dassault's virtual twin was carried out for curved design and dental medical chairs, and an example of the solution being applied to urban regeneration projects was presented through an MOU with Yeongwol-gun.
At the symposium, representatives from domestic companies such as Hyundai Rotem and Orbis E&C attended and shared examples of cooperation. Yongseong Cho, head of the Hyundai Rotem Research Team, presented examples of cooperation in the railway industry with Dassault Systèmes.
Hyundai Rotem has taken the lead in introducing Dassault Systèmes’ 3D Experience platform across the company. It was announced that it is leading the national infrastructure industry in the fields of rail solutions, defense solutions, and eco-plants, and that it will continue to maintain its partnership and collaboration with Dassault Systèmes by linking the 'digital factory' that establishes the foundation for a design consistency pre-verification system through manufacturing process simulation and the next-generation AI development roadmap.
Kim Jae-won, CEO of Orbis E&C, made a presentation on the idea that digital transformation innovation cases in the construction industry can be achieved through collaboration with Dassault Systèmes solutions. Orbis E&C is performing construction information modeling that implements real environments in virtual spaces using 'SMART iBIM', a virtual twin PLM platform based on the 3D experience platform.
A single large-scale construction project requires collaboration among dozens of companies from a wide range of fields, including designers, construction companies, and material suppliers. On the other hand, the construction industry has a digitalization rate that is even lower than that of agriculture, with 99.5% of companies having a digitalization rate of less than 10%.
Accordingly, Orbis E&C CEO Kim Jae-won emphasized the need for a platform that allows various participants to collaborate efficiently in an integrated ecosystem that is connected in real time. CEO Kim emphasized, “We will integrate business processes through the Dassault Systèmes 3D Experience Platform and support small and medium-sized companies to create new business opportunities.”
Jeong Woon-sung, CEO of Dassault Systèmes Korea, said, “Dassault Systèmes wants to become a trustworthy partner for domestic companies that are open to cutting-edge technologies and actively pursuing digital innovation,” adding, “We expect to be able to create new opportunities in various industries such as manufacturing, automobiles, and life sciences through the latest generative AI, data science, modeling, and simulation.”
